Shortcuts for Gmail, GitHub and more

On Gmail, GitHub, YouTube and other popular sites, Vokto adds that site’s everyday actions, like writing an email or opening a new issue.

Every web app has its own menus and its own keyboard shortcuts to remember. On the popular ones, Vokto puts the everyday actions in the palette, so the same few keystrokes work everywhere.

They show up on their own

There’s nothing to turn on. Open the palette on a supported site and its actions are there. On Gmail, type compose and press Enter to start a new email. On YouTube, type watch later to jump to your saved videos.

GitHub follows the repository you’re in

On a repository’s page, Issues, PRs and Actions take you to that repository’s lists, not to GitHub as a whole.

Search on the site, or from anywhere

On a supported site, Search puts your cursor in the site’s own search box, so you can start typing right away.

From any other page, a keyword search does the job instead. Type yt:cats and Vokto opens YouTube’s results for “cats”, wherever you are. Use whichever needs fewer steps: one skips the typing, the other skips the visit.
