Links hide in menus, in footers and halfway down long articles. Instead of hunting for one with the mouse, type a few letters of what it says and press Enter.

Links on the page show up in the palette as soon as you start typing. Type l: first to see nothing but links.

Vokto puts the likeliest ones first: links in the site’s navigation and main content, links you can see on screen right now, and links that stay on the same site. A link that appears twice on the page shows up once.

Link Hints puts a short letter label on every link, button and field you can see. Type the letters and Vokto clicks it for you.

Your usual browser shortcuts keep working while the labels are up. Scrolling, resizing the window, clicking or switching away clears them, since they would no longer line up with their links.

Move around the site

Home takes you to the site’s home page. Up goes one level up in the address, so on /docs/guide/intro it goes to /docs/guide. You won’t see Up when you’re already at the top.

Previous Page and Next Page work on sites that tell the browser which page comes before or after this one.

Pick a part of the address

Type / and the current address breaks into its parts, from the deepest one back to the site’s home. Type to narrow the list, then press Enter to go there.

Phone numbers and email addresses

When you open the palette, Vokto looks for phone numbers, email addresses and web addresses written as plain text and turns them into real links. They join the rest of the page’s links, so l: finds them too. A phone link starts a call, and an email link opens a new message.

Vokto is careful about what counts. Dates, ZIP codes and version numbers stay plain text, and it leaves existing links, form fields and code alone.
