Reading List and tabs from other devices
Save pages to Chrome’s Reading List for later, and open tabs you left open on your phone or another computer.
Commands
- Add to Reading List
- Save this page to read later
- Open Reading List...
- Open, mark or remove the pages you saved
- Open Tab from Device...
- Open a tab that’s open on your phone or another computer
You find an article you want to read, just not right now. Add it to your Reading List and get back to work. And the page you were reading on your phone this morning? Open it on your laptop without searching for it again.
Save a page for later
Add to Reading List saves the page you’re on to Chrome’s own Reading List, the same one that syncs to your other signed-in devices. No other service is involved. If the page is already on the list, Vokto tells you instead of adding it twice.
Read what you saved
Open Reading List… shows your saved pages, each marked Read or Unread with the site it’s from.
Enter opens a page in a new tab, or switches to it if it’s already open, and marks it as read, just like Chrome’s own Reading List. ⌥ Option Enter (Alt Enter on Windows and Linux) lets you mark a page as read or unread, or remove it.
Open a tab from another device
- Choose Open Tab from Device….
- Pick one of your other signed-in devices to see the tabs open on it.
- Pick a tab, and it opens here.
This works in one direction. You can bring a tab from another device to this one, but Chrome doesn’t let extensions send a tab the other way.
If something’s missing
These features rely on your browser. If it doesn’t offer them, or you aren’t signed in, Vokto tells you so instead of doing nothing.
