There’s no calculator to open. Type a sum or a question into the palette and the answer shows up as the top row while you type. Press Enter to copy it.

Math

Type it the way you’d write it: 12 * 19, (4 + 5)^2, sqrt(144). Percent phrases work too, which helps when you’re shopping or splitting a bill:

Units

Convert distance, weight, temperature and speed: 5 km to mi, 98.8F to C, 25 lbs in kg. Type a value on its own, like 60 mph, and you get a row for each common conversion.

If you build websites, 2rem in px and 24px to rem work too, based on the usual 16-pixel root size.

Time zones

Ask for the time somewhere else, or line up a meeting across zones:

The world clock works offline and knows about daylight saving time, so PST in July correctly means Pacific Daylight Time.

Dates

Count days and find dates without opening a calendar: days until Mar 31, 3 weeks from today or monday in 3 weeks.

Colors and currencies

Paste a color like #9333ea or rgb(147 51 234) and Vokto shows it in the other common formats, with a swatch, ready to copy.

Type an amount with a currency, like 100 usd in eur, and you get a row that sends it to your default search engine for today’s rate. Vokto doesn’t fetch rates itself.

When it stays out of the way

The calculator only answers when what you type is clearly math. Phrases like “floor 2 plans”, version numbers, and web addresses still show normal search results.
