Commands
- Vokto Settings...
- Open the Settings page in a new tab
Vokto works the moment you install it, so you never have to visit Settings. It’s there for the few things that are a matter of taste, and for the extras that stay off until you ask for them.
Open Settings
Choose Vokto Settings… in the palette, or right-click the Vokto icon in the toolbar and pick Options. Settings opens in its own tab.
On pages where Chrome doesn’t let the palette open, like chrome:// pages
or the Chrome Web Store, the shortcut and the toolbar icon open Settings
instead.
At the top of the page is a preview of the palette. It changes color as you switch modes and replays the animation you pick, so you can see a choice before you close the tab.
Light, dark or automatic
Mode decides whether the palette is light or dark. Auto, the default, follows your computer’s own light or dark setting. Pick Light or Dark to keep it one way.
How the palette appears
Animation sets how the palette arrives and leaves. All three are quick.
- Spotlight, the default, drops in from above and fades upward when it closes.
- Genie rises from below and fades back down.
- Sheet grows into place and shrinks away.
Clipboard history
Clipboard history is off until you turn it on. Once it’s on, Vokto keeps
the text you copy so you can find it again later by typing c:. Copies
from password fields are skipped. Clipboard history
explains the rest.
Translation language
Translate language is the language Vokto translates into when you translate a page or a selection. It starts as English, and you can choose from 20 common languages. See Translate.
Change the shortcut
Chrome manages the shortcuts for every extension, so you change Vokto’s at
chrome://extensions/shortcuts. The Settings page shows your current
shortcut and links straight there.
