Work with the page

Screenshots

Capture what’s on screen, or the whole page from top to bottom, as one image. It goes straight to your clipboard, ready to paste.

Commands

Screenshot...
Choose between the two kinds of capture
Capture Visible Page
Take a picture of what’s on screen right now
Capture Full Page
Take one tall picture of the whole page

Sometimes it’s quicker to show a page than to describe it: a bug you want to report, or an order confirmation you need to keep. Vokto takes the screenshot without a separate tool.

Take a screenshot

  1. Open the palette and choose Screenshot….
  2. Pick Capture Visible Page for what you see right now, or Capture Full Page for the whole page, top to bottom.

The palette closes before the picture is taken, so it never ends up in your screenshot.

Paste it or save it

The image goes straight to your clipboard. Paste it into a chat, an email or a document.

A message with a small thumbnail confirms the capture. Click the thumbnail to save the image as a PNG file, named with the date and time it was taken.

Full-page captures

For a full-page capture, Vokto scrolls down the page and joins the parts into one tall image. While it works, it briefly hides things that stay pinned to the screen as you scroll, like a header bar, so they don’t show up again and again down the image. They come back as soon as it’s done.

More ways to grab images
